Best spots to get Pastel de Nata around Lisbon!

3 days of music, art and culture, in the heart of Lisbon

Do you love Pastel de Nata? Maybe you don’t know what it is? Curious about finding out more? Well, read on!

Pastel de Nata, also known as Portuguese custard tarts, are Portuguese pastries with a hint of cinnamon. In this blog, we will list the best places around Lisbon to find these delicious treats!

Pastéis de Belém

Being on almost every Lisbon travel guide, the bakery is famous for its pastries, having started making them in the 1800s. With so much experience in the bag, it’s no wonder the pastries are so scrumptious.

Manteigaria

Being much newer than it’s competitors, Manteigaria only opened a few years ago, but are already producing some of the best natas around. If you like smaller venues, this would be a perfect place to get some of these treats. Out of the two places, the Rua do Loreto venue has much more around it, being very photogenic, and would make a perfect place to hang out with a coffee and take in your surroundings.

Aloma

Aware winningAloma was previously based in the Time Out Market, however, it has now found its new home in Campo de Ourique. Being one of the nicer venues to sit in and enjoy a nata, Campo Ourique also boasts many other shops, making the overall trip well worth-it.

Cristal

One of the lesser-known venues, Cristal could easily be mistaken for a normal cafe on the side of a street, as it is not located in a tourist area or busy area. However, it is still one of the best places to grab a pastry if you’re ever passing by the area.

Fábrica da Nata

A great all-rounder, Fábrica da Nata ticks all the boxes. Great place to sit and enjoy the natas, easy to get to and as an added bonus, you can see them being made. Whether it ticks all your boxes is up to you!
